Obituary
Marian Kaufman, nee Kousnetz, beloved of the late Richard I. Kaufman, D.D.S. for almost 78 years; loving mother of Paula (Imad) Kaufman-Dajani, Shari (Harvey) Shapiro, Jo Ellen (James) Porges, Louis Kaufman, and the late Steven Alan; cherished “Honey” of Marissa (Adam) Samit, Jason Shapiro, Jacob Kaufman and Rachel Kaufman; proud great-grandmother of Aviva Samit and Simona Samit; dear sister of the late Carol Sterkin and the late JoAnn Pizer-Fox; adored daughter of the late Selig and Ella; favorite aunt, and loyal and devoted friend to many. Graveside services were held at Shalom Memorial Park, Arlington Heights. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dr. Richard I. and Marian Kaufman Leo Baeck Scholarship Fund, Beth Emet Synagogue, 1224 Dempster St., Evanston, IL 60202. Many years of times our families shared Happy times together. My parents vacationed with Marian and Richard, and family dinners shared. No matter the end, I love her and Richard very much and will keep them always in my Thoughts with joy. Condolences go out to the family.
